Brækket ben.... / Broken leg......

In English: Broken leg.....

Mom has broken her leg. Benn and I played with my toy crab - the very first toy I got when I was little. That is, we pulled it from either side and there was something really fun material coming out of it.

Mom would rush to save it so she ran across the patio and fell just as long she was down of two tiny steps. Bumm, Benn and Vaks and I thought it was a new fun game so we ran over to her. But perhaps we shouldn't have done that, because dad could se she was hurting so he commanded us all three away. Benn and I went further away, but Vaks simply would not move from mom. He sat beside her and looked very worried. Mom and Dad were quite touched that he was there to comfort her.

Here is the rest of the Crab, and some of the stuffy from inside.
Flat as a pancake.
Well, even a flat toy crab you still can pull more stuffy out of.
Poor mom is sitting in the summer heat with her broken leg and two crutches, and can't do anything.
But she is not alone. Vaks won't go away from her. He looks after her all the time.... And dad he jumps and jumps to fulfill her slightest wish. It's just me who is taking a little lax on all the hubbub with her leg. It may be fine enough I drop by her chair every now and then and check if she is ok!

Hurtigt, hurtigt ......... / Faster, faster................

In English: Faster, faster......

It can never go too fast to get the mom to give us breakfast. Does'nt she know we nearly are starving to death???

You can almost hear Vaks scream: I think I am starving to death!!
Almost there!!
And then a little cheese snack for dessert. Yummi.
There is nothing like breakfast............It just should be dinner.

Not all wordless, but still ....

Grådig eller bare hurtig-spiser ...... / Greedy or just quick-eater

Det må jeg nok kalde Benn. Hurtigspiser!!!

Bare se her:

In English: Greedy or just quick-eater...

That I'll call Benn. A quick-eater!

Mom has thought about that Benn is indeed the one in our home who is the fastest to swallow his food. I do'nt chew it at all but swallows it.

Mom was therefore in a pet store where she found something amazing. Just look here:
A plate with obstacles.
She thought it was worth trying, so she bought it to Benn.

Benn no more swallow his food. He chews it actually. And he eats slowly now, he has to push the food to the edge before he can eat it. Smart huh?
Now Benn is the one of us who is latest  finished eating, and he is enjoying his food now.
Now Benn get all his food served on the green thingy. Both liver pate sandwiches and whatever else he gets to eat. And all is eaten slowly.

Mom gave Benn the ultimate test last night.

Mom sat in the armchair watching TV while she ate some chips. I do not want chips, so I do not care about the crunchy crispy chips, but Benn and Vaks was sitting with eyes on stalks looking at the chips.

Mom gave Vaks one and he chewed it slowly as usual. Then mom gave Benn one and he chewed it slowly, without doing as usual. Namely swallow it.

So mom concluded that the green plate has learned Benn to chew his food before swallowing it. Yeah!!!

Har vi en forræder i blandt os .......... / Do we have a traitor among us ........

In English: Do we have a traitor among us.....

you can say so.

Vaks likes running away. He has found a place in the fence (which my mom and dad definitely have not yet found) where he can get out.

Then he runs down to the neighbor's dung mongrels. Traitor. For he has actually become good friends with them now. The neighbor says it does'nt matter, Vaks runs down the road to them. The neighbor's dogs run all the time to our garden, so the position is actually 1-1.

I need to tell you that we live in the countryside looong out of a dirt road, so it is not dangerous when Vaks runs, more annoying.

Vaks is running fast and mom is running after him with his leash and a bag of treats.
Mom knows she has to tell him to sit down, because when she says that, he obeys. She curses and swear a little bit when she runs towards him.
She also knows that she shall not scold him, because then she would not get hold of him the next time he runs. So she carries him home while she is cursing and swearing with a sugared voice.
Vaks does'nt care. He got a treat because he was so good to sit down.

Mom think  she probably found where he comes out through the fence. So now the hole is stopped ...... she hopes.

That was a big mischief from Vaks, I think.

Vinterjakke.... / Wintercoat...

Even it is in the middle of the summer, Mom has been so provident and bought a fine Wintercoat for Vaks.

Er de farlige ...... /Are they dangerous ............

Men hun tog gruelig fejl.

In English:

They certainly can look dangerous.

Dust bunnies.

We have had so many of them in the caravan that mom was quite scared.

They all have different shapes. And names. For example, they are called Flat Bunnies in Norway. Most of the names obviously have something to do with bunnies. Sorry Speedy. But I'm not the one who gave them these names.

In Danish, they can be translated into Nullsoft men.

In return they sound a little more dangerous and uncomfortable when in Swedish they are called Dust Rats and in German are called Dust Mice or Wool Mice.

Every day my mom found them. She thought it was because there was'nt so much room in the caravan, they continued to appear on the floor.

Little scary.
More scary.
In the end it was right before my mom was looking forward to get home. She thought that if there were Dust Bunnies at home, they would at least hide in the corners, and not get out on the floor like they did in the caravan.

But she was wrong.

Since we have Benn visiting for the moment, we are three dogs and the Dust Bunnies comes tumbling out on the floor.

A really big and scary Dust Bunny. "Vaks I'll take care of you. You're not so big so you can easily become absorbed in such a  Dust Bunny".

My mom is a great detective. She has identified that the majority of the Dust Bunnies comes from ...... ME???

Still lots of fur. "Mom, just tell me if you are bored. Then I'll produce some Dust Bunnies fore you".

Jeg er ikke altid en lydig hund ..... / I'm not always an obedient dog....

Hun vidste at Naruto var ham her:

En japansk manga-tegneserie figur.
Det syntes vi var sjovt.

In English:  I'm not always an obedient dog....

and there has also been a simple blunder here in our holiday in Lüneburg in Germany. We were in the city Lüneburg for a walk. It is a very beautiful city.

My dad is standing with me and Vaks in front of the beautiful old town hall. I am  a very good dog and so is Vaks.
We walked around and looked in the streets. I'm still a very good dog and Vaks is too.
A little later mom and dad was standing and looked at the copper model of the city. We are still well-behaved.
But suddenly .....there were this couple walking with their little dachshund. Dad who is holding me don't see anything, but I do. Now the fact is, that we dogs have to protect our peeps so I think immediately: They are sure to be attacked by the little dachshund.

I jump out and tear the man down (I could not reach the dachshund) and almost my dad too.
The dachshund tears him loose and runs barking down the street while the man's wife is trying to help him up. My dad scolds me of course out and asks the man if he was ok.

And here is the lucky part if you can put it this way:

When Vaks and I'm in the car, we have such a harness on as a seatbelt. When we arrive, for example. to town, I'll just gets my nose collar and leash on. I still have my seatbelt harness on.

As you see, I still got my safety-harness on. And because my dad has such dark sunglasses on and is holding my leash quite short, people believe in fact that I am a service dog guide for a blind man.
This, the unfortunate man thought too, so he was not angry and upset, but hastens to convince my dad, all the while Vaks is standing barking  like crazy, that he obviously did'nt got hurt and everything was ok.
The man's wife rushed down the street and got hold of the dachshund, and we hurried to walk away and mom and dad were fiery red in the heads.

This was that the city tour.

Over at the parking area my mom saw this sign:

She knew Naruto was this guy:

A Japanese manga cartoon character.
They thought it was a funny sign.

See this story was a very big mischief, don't you think?
