Byen / The city

Der var den yndigste lille by i nærheden af vores campingplads.

There was the prettiest little town near our campsite.

Med fine velholdte huse.

With fine well-kept houses.
Og dette hus hed Skomagergården. Det var nok her Skomageren boede i gamle dage.

And this house is called the Shoemaker farm. It is probably where the Shoemaker lived in the old days.
Man skulle over broen for at komme til den lille by. Og tænk, broen lignede en kæmpestor græshoppe.

You had to cross the bridge to get to the small town. And can you imagine, the bridge looked like a giant grasshopper.
Her er vi på vej tilbage fra den lille by til campingpladsen.

Here we are, on our way back from the village to the campsite.
Jeg er nu ret glad for at græshoppebroen ikke er levende for så ville den have været uhyggelig og måske ville den have ædt Vaks og mig!

I am quite happy the grasshopper bridge not is alive otherwise, it would have been creepy and maybe it would have eaten Vaks and me!
